Company A: £750k

Company A is a conference networking platform that allows conference goers to view picture-based profiles of everyone around them directly on their phones in real-time, enabling them to identify contacts of interest instantly and to arrange on-the-spot meetings.

Company A creates and maintains bespoke event communities as needed and ensures scalability across all conference sizes anywhere in the world from a TEDx event of a few hundred to the Mobile World Congress with 36,000 professionals.

In a global conference & exhibition market worth £250bn, Company A positions within the technical services (audio visual), which represent 12% of the market; £30bn. Company A aims to achieve 5% penetration into this market over three years.

For the first year, revenues are projected to come 90% from a license fee per event-based on event size-and 10% from advertising revenue shares out of Yasmo’s white label offering to event sponsors and advertisers. For the second year, the introduction of the virally marketed app to broader markets will represent 50% of turnover.

After 2 rounds of Angel investment Company A is now looking to secure £750K to develop virally marketed features and functionalities as well a distribution and sales network worldwide.

Company B: £2m

The Company has been established to capitalise on the growing opportunity provided by the complexities in the trading and management of Mortgage Backed Securities, as it is believed that software products that address this requirement can be sold at premium. The Company’s trademarked brand includes a platform for the Front and Middle office that combines Trade Capture, Position Keeping and Risk Management in a single package. The system is designed to be the central information portal for the trading desk, aggregating data from external and internal sources, such as ECNs, Price Feeds, and Risk/Analytics Engines. Primary users of the system are Traders, Risk Managers, Trade Operations and Support personnel.

The Company launched its first generation product, Version 1.0, in 2008 to Tier 1 global bank BNP Paribas. Following the successful deployment to BNP Paribas, the Company developed a broader fixed income ("FI") system which would appeal to both sell-side and buy-side financial institutions engaged in FI trading, with particular additional features for mortgage backed securities ("MBS").

The opportunity is to invest in the business providing a market leading product to the Fixed Income and Mortgage Backed Securities market place. The management team has invested time and capital to develop the product to market readiness, validate the business opportunity and to execute early stage sales and marketing. The company now needs capital investment, estimated at circa £2 million to include institutional and angel investment. The investment will be used to execute the sales delivery plan.

Company D: £750k

Company D makes it possible for retailers to visualise their supply-chain, from finished product to primary production.

Company D developed a secure, online subscription service allowing batch-level product information to be shared easily throughout the supply-chain. Our customers tell us that visibility through the supply chain enables them to make considerable cost savings as well as measuring their Sustainability performance.

The company has successfully completed pilot projects with over 20 retail clients, including ASDA/Walmart, M&S and Sainsburys. It has just signed a contract with one such client to roll the service out to their estimated community of 9,000 suppliers. The retailer is collaborating in the project by mandating their suppliers to use the product and by providing £250,000 of project funding. We expect this project to create recurring subscriptions >£5M/year within 3 years. We have also won our second roll out with a sportswear brand and are currently agreeing the details of this project. Finally, we expect to negotiate 4 more roll out contracts from our pipeline of pilot projects during the next 12 months.

Company D is raising £750,000 to scale up engineering, operations and regional support to deliver these contracts.
