Company B: £2m |
The Company has been established to capitalise on the growing opportunity provided by the complexities in the trading and management of Mortgage Backed Securities, as it is believed that software products that address this requirement can be sold at premium. The Company’s trademarked brand includes a platform for the Front and Middle office that combines Trade Capture, Position Keeping and Risk Management in a single package. The system is designed to be the central information portal for the trading desk, aggregating data from external and internal sources, such as ECNs, Price Feeds, and Risk/Analytics Engines. Primary users of the system are Traders, Risk Managers, Trade Operations and Support personnel. The Company launched its first generation product, Version 1.0, in 2008 to Tier 1 global bank BNP Paribas. Following the successful deployment to BNP Paribas, the Company developed a broader fixed income ("FI") system which would appeal to both sell-side and buy-side financial institutions engaged in FI trading, with particular additional features for mortgage backed securities ("MBS"). The opportunity is to invest in the business providing a market leading product to the Fixed Income and Mortgage Backed Securities market place. The management team has invested time and capital to develop the product to market readiness, validate the business opportunity and to execute early stage sales and marketing.
